Angela Evelyn Bassett (born April 15, 1961) was an American actress. Her name has been praised for her film and TV work since the 1980s. Her awards comprise two Golden Globe Awards, sixteen NAACP Image Awards as well as nominations for Academy Awards and Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett was born to her aunt in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Born and grew up in New York New York. Bassett relocated with her sister to St. Petersburg Florida at five years old so that they could be near their mom as she was divorced from their dad. Bassett watched the James Earl Jones in John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men play as she was still in high school, and realised that acting is what she was looking to pursue. After graduating of Yale University New Haven Connecticut in the year 1980, she earned an undergraduate degree of African American Studies, she was able to obtain an MA (1983) at the Yale School of Drama. Courtney B. Vance met her at Yale and, in 1997 they tied the knot. Qualification: B.A. degree in African-American studies in the year 1980. Graduate in Fine Arts from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett plays Ramonda as one of the major roles in action adventure film i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
